Summer has come for good and you may feel trapped at home! So, I have a few decor tricks to make your home as a summer paradise!
This year’s summer decoration smells Greece worldwide, so you can realize that bright blue and green are the “must” colors of the season combined with absolute white.
The shades of gray (and I am not talking about 50 shades movie), as the beach stones is must for furniture and decoration objects. The darker the color the smallest object.
So, imagine a white colored room, with one lightest shade of blue wall like sea water with a light gray sofa and darker decoratives.
Yes, it’s smells like summer and so if you want to make an whole summer room I will suggest you the following color pallette.
- Hide the heavy decoration!
That has to do with the darkest colors, thick fabrics and curtains, carpets, heavy decorations and more. Clean them all and leave as less as you can.
- Lighten your space and Give color!
And after your winter cleaning, you have to give light in your room and I am not talking about lights. For example, do you have a dark couch? Place over a fine white or blue fabric on its one side. Floral is also must for each summer season and to give a more cheerful note at home!
Place scented white candles on the coffee table or on shelves with summer decorations and hung white translucent curtains.
As for the color prefer bold summer colors that remind you summer season.
What is easier than to think about summer fruits like peach, watermelon, yellow, green, lilac etc. Place decorations in these colors as you can make your own diy decorations!
- Moisturise your House!
And what a summer home wants? Dew = Oxygen = plants! So it is good if you do not already have a garden to start thinking how to take care of 2-3 flowers in your space! Prefer interior plants that you can put in the corners of your living room and your desk. Also, exterior plants when you will sprinkle them with water every afternoon and they will drive you crazy from the dew that will offer you.
Small fountains are also a summer solution and they relax you. I am sure you have seen them before or you already have one.
Of course if you can afford it you can have a larger fountain in your outdoor space or make a your own diy fountain!
- And when the night falls and the moon shines …
Your house will shine too. Lighting plays an important role in every season, but in the summer you can use it in your outdoor space. Some miniature lamps, even white Christmas leds will do the job.
- Decorate your table with candles for beautiful romantic nights with your loved one or your friends for beers.
Bedroom can be sensual and romantic with some led lighting over your bed . I wouldn’t recommend you candles in the house, because they can cause an accident.
- Summer without Drinks is not Summer
And the kitchen or your bar should be equipped with drinks and fruits and your fridge with ice because every time you want to drink something refreshing and enjoy the moment you have to be prepared. If you have everything under control you will not be bored to make it.
So invest a few money for drinks and will not run to pay 10euro on drinks in the clubs daily.
But you can have fun every day at home after a long tiring day.
Tip:
If you’re just economically “large” I will also recommend you to invest some money for a small home cinema on your balcony or in your yard (you can do DIY projector too) and enjoy movies with family or friends , with romantic lighting, into plants, the streams near you to run … Have I travelled you enough?
